Taylor Whitson, Owner

Taylor was born and raised in a small town near Chattanooga, Tennessee where she developed a love for photography and traveling at a young age. She attended college at Jacksonville State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Art with a concentration in Photography. During her time at Jacksonville State University, Taylor was selected for the Disney College Program where she would work as a PhotoPass Photographer at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida.

During this time she met her eventual husband Casey, an active duty Marine serving in Jacksonville, North Carolina as an Aviation Ordnanceman. Taylor and Casey were married 18 months later and would continue on to be stationed in Beaufort South Carolina followed by Auburn Alabama where they would welcome their son Finley.

Now as a family of three they are enjoying the “four seasons” while stationed in Central Pennsylvania. On top of being a stay at home mom, Taylor works as a Magic Maker® with Off to Neverland Travel® planning unforgettable adventures for her clients. As a military spouse and mom, Taylor recognizes the importance of community and is honored to lead The Military Mom Collective.

Nicki Hart, Community Coordinator

Nicki was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, which is where she met her husband. The preschool sweethearts have three children (ages 7, 4, and 2) with one on the way.  Prior to her husband joining the Navy and becoming a stay at home mom, Nicki worked as a special education teacher. That role prepared her for life as a parent to disabled children and to serve as a board member for the foundation for her daughter’s rare disorder. Since becoming a Navy family four years ago, they have moved 4 times in 4 years, which has landed them in their current location: North Carolina.  She enjoys volunteering, advocating for individuals with disabilities, watching TV with her husband, and maintaining an artistic but thorough planner.

Joanna Raines, Editor

Joanna is a mom of three (ages 14,12, & 5) and a military spouse to an Aviation Ordnance Marine.  Joanna grew up in Georgia where she received her Associates degree in Marketing Management  and she currently works at a church taking care of 2 and 3 year olds.  The military life style has taken her all over the United States and overseas the past 16 years, however she currently lives in Pennsylvania.  Joanna spends most of her time taking care of the kids and running them to different sporting events keeping her very busy.  She enjoys relaxing, binge watching her shows, spending time with family and friends.

Maura Bonham, Social Media + Content Manager

Maura is a mom of two (6 and 4) and a military spouse to a Naval Aviator.  Maura grew up outside of Columbus, Ohio and is a proud alumna of Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN, where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communications and Sociology. The Navy has taken Maura and her family all around the world and they currently call Northern Virginia home. When she is not taking her kids to school or activities, Maura enjoys reading (she is a member of a local military spouse book club), listening to podcasts, binging Bravo shows, and attempting to be a plant mom.

Maura is excited to be a part of the Military Mom Collective Team as it helped her so much throughout the years!
