We here at Military Moms Blog know that moms are usually the ones purchasing the holiday gifts for everyone from teachers to grandparents to your favorite barista. It’s not always easy to find each and every person a gift. On top of that, many of us just moved to new cities, states and even countries. Some of us don’t even know the language where we are living, let alone where to shop to find that perfect gift!

In an effort to take a little bit of that stress off of your plate and to encourage you to shop small and support some really amazing companies, Military Moms Blog has put together our second holiday gift guide! Check out the 2017 version for more ideas as well.

From products that help keep your children safe (DreamCatcher and CLEARinse), to jewelry that empowers (Dear Mushka), each of these brands is doing something truly inspiring for women and families. Several of these companies are owned by veterans and military spouses as well. Plus, these companies all have an online presence, so you can shop from the comfort of your couch.

The DreamCatcher was designed by Daniel, a father of a toddler, after his son fell while attempting to climb out of his crib. He sustained injuries to his face and a trip to the ER, but it could have been much worse. To prevent something like this from happening again, Daniel designed the DreamCatcher, a mat that is laid on the floor, with 8 separate, inflatable sections so that it can be configured to any nursery layout whether the crib is against one wall, two walls, or in the center of the nursery.

Colds, flu and allergies can affect all us, impairing our ability to breathe, eat and sleep. Getting effective relief from nasal congestion is especially important for babies, who only breathe through their nose and cannot blow their nose to get relief. CLEARinse was designed by an ER pediatrician after many of his patients’ parents commented that they would love a nasal aspirator that did what he did in the ER. CLEARinse safely delivers the safest suction level and the most effective flow rates to give fast, effective relief from nasal congestion for even the tiniest babies. Because the CLEARinse uses saline and is drug-free, it also is suitable for adults who cannot take OTC medications such as pregnant and breastfeeding women or people with sensitivities or allergies to decongestants.

Dear Mushka exists to help women wear truth and share truth: the truth that you are loved, supported, strengthened, valued, and protected even when – and especially when – it doesn’t feel like it.

This jewelry reminds you of ultimate truth and makes it possible to join sisters, mothers, daughters, friends, and loved ones across the world with the love we need to fulfill our calling.

Our jewelry is beautiful, and we’re glad you wear it and share it, but we hope the truths they bring are what you love the most.
