Freezer Meal Prep Kit

A collection of ingredients to create 10 freezer meals.

I’m always looking for ways to make my life easier, especially during the back to school season and/or deployment. This year, it’s both. Unfortunately, I have a tendency to make my life more complicated in an effort to make things easier.  (Who doesn’t, right?)

When I’m in a busy season, I used to buy myself some mental space by leaving meal planning to a company like Hello Fresh or HomeChef.  It made my first deployment with three kids much more manageable. It helped me when I was postpartum with my fourth. It’s an amazing service that everyone should try at least one, if they can.

That said, those services are no longer an option for our family. My youngest has a severe milk allergy, and most of those services don’t cater to allergies like that.

So I searched the internet and Pinterest high and low for dairy free meal ideas that were easy and I found them. But again, it’s deployment AND back to school season. Playing whack-a-mole while cooking is toward the bottom of the list of things I want to do on any given day.

I finally gave up and compiled my own list of freezer worthy recipes that were easily dairy free. You best believe that I still add dairy to my plate sometimes, but knowing that I can throw something in my slow cooker and forget it AND it’s not going to cause a potential trip to the hospital gives me life.

So, I carefully put together a list of the groceries you will need, what you need to prep, and all the recipes. I did it for me, but why not share it with the masses?

For me, I also stocked up on reusable gallon size bags and bag holders because I plan to keep this up even when my husband gets back from deployment.

Who doesn’t love an easy dinner night, am I right?
